The conditions nausea and vomiting can both be symptoms of a variety of illnesses. Nausea is an uneasiness in the stomach that may lead to vomiting (throwing up) - but not always. The use of aniseed is also beneficial in the treatment of indigestion. An infusion can be prepared by mixing a teaspoon of aniseed in a cup of boiling water and leaving it covered overnight. The clear fluid can then be decanted and taken with honey.

Drink 1 cup of yarrow tea (available at health food stores). This herb is known to stop nausea in next to no time. It's also wonderful for helping tone up the digestive system. You can treat it by having two capsules of gingerroot. It will give you a quick relief and depending how severe is your nausea.

Pineapple acts as a tonic and relieves much of the digestive disorders. Half a glass of pineapple juice should be taken after a meal in treating this condition.
Mint juice, is a good appetiser. Its value is greatly enhanced by mixing equal amount of honey and lemon juice each. This mixture forms a very effective remedy for indigestion and gaseous distension of the stomach.

When the food you ate seems to be lying on your chest-or you have a bad case of stomach overload and you know you'd feel much better if you threw up-reach for the English mustard. It's available at food specialty shops. Dose: Drink 1 teaspoon in a glass of warm water. If you don't vomit in 10 minutes, drink another glass of this mustard water. After another 10 minutes, if it still hasn't worked, the third time should be the charm. To help ease a severe bout of vomiting, warm 1/2 cup of vinegar, saturate a washcloth in it and place the moist cloth on your bare abdomen. Put a hot water bottle on top of the cloth for extra relief.
