Dr. Zhang

Qualifications:

Dr. Zhang holds a Diploma in Chinese Medicine from Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine where she studied between 1985 and 1989 as well as a Diploma in Acupuncture from the Jiangsu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1998 following the required four years of study.

Experience:

Dr. Zhang has been practicing Chinese Medicine and acupuncture for over 30 years. In China, she has worked as a doctor at specialist hospital departments, including 16 years as a clinical doctor at the Maternal and Childcare Services Centre – a private hospital in Nantong. Throughout her clinical career she has gained considerable experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries and providing Chinese cosmetology and weight loss treatments.

Dr. Zhang has written several articles for Chinese medical journals and also contributed to China’s radio and TV programmes as an expert in health and medicine. Using her knowledge of medicine and well-being, as a nationally recognised expert in China, Dr. Zhang has spoken at various health events in both the public and private sectors.

Academic Work:

Dr. Zhang is also visiting professor in Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine. She was involved in teaching the Cosmetic Acupuncture and Chinese Cosmetology specialist Diploma course for doctors and healthcare professionals. She also led the practical acupuncture sessions where she is currently involved in overseeing the students’ training.

Dr. Zhang specialises in treating cardiovascular, neurological, dermatological, digestive as well as mental and emotional health conditions. She also specialises in gynaecology, female fertility.
