1) Avoid Allergic
Food allergies can cause chronic diarrhea.  The offending foods should be identified and removed from one’s diet.  In the early stages of diarrhea, food of any kind should be avoided.  Liquids should be taken in ample quantities and this can include vegetable and fruit juices.  Follow this with cooked fruits, yogurt and soups.  Avoid all fats and fried foods.  It may be necessary to take mineral and vitamin supplements to replace nutrients that have been lost

2) Avoid Dairy Products
Milk and dairy products are a common cause of Diarrhea.  It is the number one most allergenic food.  In some people it causes leaky gut syndrome which leads to various auto-immune diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease.  If you have chronic diarrhea, the first thing to do is eliminate all dairy products.

3) Rice or Barley Water
A good home remedy for children’s diarrhea is to give rice water or barley water.  A small amount of sugar can be added to enhance the digestion of minerals.  Pectin will aid in relieving diarrhea and that is found in tomatoes, sugar beets potatoes, carrots, apples and the peeling of citrus fruits.  After the diarrhea has passed, take a probiotic containing live acidophilus to re-introduce healthy bowel flora.

4) Black Tea
A great diarrhea home remedy is to make some black tea and sweeten it with a small amount of sugar.  The water in the tea will be good for rehydration and the tea has tannins which are an astringent that will aid in reducing inflammation of the intestines.  It will also inhibit the intestines from absorbing toxins.  The sugar will increase the absorption of sodium.

4) Blackberry Natural Cure for Diarrhea
Blackberries are an old tried and true folk home remedy for diarrhea.  Brew up some blackberry tea by putting a couple of tablespoons of blackberries or dried blackberry leaves in 2 cups of boiling water for about 15 minutes. When done, strain it.  Drink one cup of this 3 or 4 times a day.  You can also go to the store and buy blackberry leaves in tea bags.  Make sure what you are buying has the actual leaves and not just flavoring.
