Try putting honey on the rashes. This is an ancient home remedy. Good herbs for chicken pox are St. John’s wort, goldenseal, ginger and burdock root. Make a tea from these herbs and drink it three times a day. Use the homeopathic medicine Rhus Tox for itching and also apply tea tree oil to the bumps.
5) Salt & Ginger
Put a few tablespoons of sea salt in the bath. Boil some fresh ginger root in a pot of water for 20 minutes and add this to the bath. Also add a half cup of vinegar. Put 10 to 20 drops of bergamot essential oil (don’t buy synthetic fragrance) in a base oil such as olive oil and mix thoroughly. Then apply this to the blisters and rashes.
