Condition analysis:
Often times, your healthcare provider can diagnose genital herpes by simply looking at your symptoms. Providers can also take a sample from the sore(s) and test it. Have an honest and open talk with your health care provider and ask whether you should be tested for herpes or other STDs.
Instructions:
1) Ice:
Reduce pain and itching of genital herpes by applying ice to sores. You can fill a Ziploc bag with crushed ice, which is applied 10 to 15 minutes throughout the day. Keep in mind that prolonged exposure to ice can cause damage to skin tissue.
2) Bag of Frozen Vegetables:
If you don’t have access to crushed ice, you can use a bag of frozen vegetables as a suitable alternative.
3) Milk:
Encourage healing and ease pain by soaking cotton balls in milk and applying to sores.
