Distribution:
Mainly being produced in Shanxi and Hebei province.
 
Properties (characteristics):
Acrid, salty, cold.
 
Channels (meridians) entered:
Aeart, stomach, kidney.
 
Actions & Indications:
For high fever, irritability and thirst.
External use: Erysipelas, scaldings, burns, canker sores.

Chemical ingredients:
Northern han shui shi contains mainly calcium sulfate with impurities of iron, aluminum etc.
Southern han shui shi contains mainly calcium carbonate with impurities of magnesium, iron, manganese, zinc etc.
 
Dosage:
In decoction: 15 to 60 g, boil with water.
In pill or powder form: 9 to 15 g. 
External use: appropriate amount

Cautions:
Not to use in cases of spleen deficient or blood deficient.
