Medical functions:
Anti tumor effect: root of yu zan hua water extract use on whole animal test show  that it has a high degree of anti-tumor activity of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells. The anti-tumor active ingredient is a polymer. Using yu zan huathe alcohol extract of 0.25g/kg for oral or intraperitoneal injection, six days in a row, it showed an  inhibition of murine leukemia L615. The inhibition rate of 28.5%.
