Medical functions:
1. in vitro tests, the ethanol extract of noni leaves showed that there was good effect in getting rid of human roundworm as an anthelmintics.
2 hepatoprotective effect: noni fruit juice has a protective role in acute liver damage (CCl4-induced liver injury in female Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats).
3 immunomodulatory effects: noni fruit juice to mice in vivo and in vitro experiments, continuous oral 16 days, increase the interferone γ (IFN-gamma) levels, and its mechanism is CB2 receptor activation and inhibition of IL-4 role.
Actions & Indications:
Upper respiratory tract infection, sore throat, hepatitis, jaundice, damp-heat dysentery, diarrhea, scalding and burns, swelling of unknown origin, Eczema, gum disease, skin irritation, Cellulitis, allergic dermatitis, high blood pressure, diabetes.
Dosage:
Oral consumption: decoction, 15 ~ 30 g, or fresh herb 60 ~ 120 g; or make into the powder or make into juice and mix with honey for oral consumption or for gargling. External use: appropriate amount,
washed, smashed apply topically or with decoction; or sun dry and make into powder and apply as paste; or make into topical creams, or face cream and apply.
