Uses: for clearing heat, fire toxicity, abscesses, toxic sores, ulcerations, swellings, snake bites, sore throat, Chronic Bronchitis, Chronic Tonsillitis, Hemorrhoids, hot painful urinary tract infection and damp heat jaundice (infectious hepatitis), appendicitis, urethral infection and malignant tumors of liver, lung and stomach.
 

Modern Research:
Bai hua she she cao can activate reticuloendothelial system and increase phagocytosis by lymphocytes.

In high concentrations, preparations  have shown to inhibit cells from acute lymphocytic and acute granulocytic leukemia.

Effective in treatment of appendicitis.

Treatment of snake bites. Applied topically and taken orally.

Enhances adrenocortical hormone.

Inhibits sperm production.
 
Cautions:
In rare cases, allergic reactions of discomfort and rash and itches may show up on the upper limbs with sharp itchiness, and may cause breathing difficulty.

To use bai hua she she cao, start with small amount of 10 grams and gradually increase to 30-60 grams.
