Fruit, leaves and root can be used for getting rid of round worms and for improving digestion.
Fruit are better in getting rid of round worms.
Roots can also be used for arresting cough, hiccups and possess anti-inflammatory, antibiotic effect. It is also used in middle ear infection and prolapse of rectum.

Dosage:
3 to 9 g; or stir fry to heat up seeds. For children use one seed for every year old. Adult dosage: 10 to 15 seeds. Take with empty stomach. Chew and swallow.
Cautions:
Taking large dosage may induce hiccups, dizziness, lack of energy, nausea, even vomiting, and diarrhea. Taking with tea may induce hiccups or diarrhea. Symptoms will subside once stop taking the herb. If it result in toxic reaction, cloves decoction can be used as antidote.
