Originally in Americas. Now it is found in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Taiwan provinces of China and Southeast Asia.

Actions & Indications:
Being used in stomachache, boils, cellulitis, tuberculosis of lymph nodes.
In Malaysia, as folk medicine, it is also used in Diabetes, tumors (especially breast cancer), Hemorrhoids, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), and Gout.
Chemical ingredients:
solasonine, solamargine, solasodine, 3,5-solasodiene, diosgenin, 3β- hydroxypregna-5,16-dien-20-one, sitosterol, stigmasterol, campesterol, small amount of cholesterol.
Dosage:
External Application: cut fresh fruit into two, bake and apply while warm.
Taking orally: use care because toxicity.
Cautions:
Not to use during pregnancy.
