The Hospital of Shanxi University of TCM in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, received 44 foreign students from 18 countries on June 26, when they started to learn acupuncture in the hospital.

Acupuncture is still a new treatment in Sudan. However, some of the country’s State-owned hospitals have received financial support from the state in terms of acupuncture projects. This kind of green treatment costs little and has no side effects, Alaedin said, it receives increasing attention in the country.
A doctor from Vietnam was also learning acupuncture in Shanxi. He can prescribe traditional Chinese medicine and is very interested in ancient Chinese books on medicines, such as China’s earliest medical classic The Yellow Emperor’s Canon of Internal Medicine.
Through the study of acupuncture, he realized that every TCM doctor has his own acupuncture style, and it's enlightening for him, said this Vietnam doctor.
The most ancient record of acupuncture dates back to the Qin Dynasty (221-206BC), introduced by a doctor from the Hospital of Shanxi University of TCM. From 1998, the international acupuncture course in Shanxi has trained over 800 students from more than 100 countries.
