Location:
A group of 34 acupoints on both sides of the spinal column, 0.5 cun lateral to the lower border of each spinous process from the first thoracic vertebra to the fifth lumbar vertebra (see Fig. 101).

Indications:
The indication for the acupoints from the first to the third thoracic vertebrae on both sides mainly includes disease of the upper limbs; the indication for the acupoints from the first to the eighth thoracic vertebrae on both sides mainly includes disorders of the chest; the indication for the acupoints from the sixth thoracic vertebra to the fifth lumbar vertebra mainly includes diseases of the abdomen; the indication for the acupoints from the first to the fifth lumbar vertebrae mainly includes diseases of the lower limbs.
