[Location] Localized in the prone position or in the lateral recumbent position. On the midline of the lateral aspect of the thigh, 7 cun above the transverse popliteal crease. [Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→iliotibial tract→lateral muscle of thigh →intermediate vastus muscle of thigh. Superficial layer, the distribution of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve; deep layer, the muscular branch of the descending branches of the lateral circumflex femoral artery, and the muscular branch of the femoral nerve.
