[Location ] Localized in the erect sitting position or supine position. On the face, directly below the outer canthus of the eye, in the depression on the lower border of the zygoma. (Fig.28)
 
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→zygomatic muscle→masseter→temporalis. Superficial layer, the branch of infraorbital nerves of maxillary nerve, the zygomatic branch and the temporal branch of the facial nerve, the branches or the subordiantial ramus of the transverse facial artery and vein; deep layer, the maxillary nerve derived from trigeminal nerve.
