The acupuncture method of promoting brain and inducing resuscitation was established by academician Xuemin Shi, the point’s selection is simplified, the method is unique and patients have obvious feeling of the needling, the effect is outstanding. It is diverse from the common method and is the best method in stroke treatment until now. The writer applied this method and got some experience, which will be introduced in the following.

Main points:
Acupuncture Single Point Shuigou, Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point, Sanyinjiao (SP6).

Assisting points:
Jiquan (HT1), Chize (LU5), Hegu (LI 4) Yuan-Source Point, and Weizhong (BL 40), Lower Confluent Point. Operation method: needling both PC6 first, perpendicular needling 1.0-1.5 cun, pinch, twist, lifting and inserting, dispersing, reducing, method, operation for 1 minute. Perpendicular needling on GV26, oblique needling to nasal septum for 0.3-.05 cun, heavily using birdpecking method until the eyeballs become wetness or tearing. For SP6, 45° oblique needling from the skin of inner edge of the tibia for 1.0-1.5 cun depth, using lifting and inserting and reinforcing method, until the affected lower limbs twitch for 3 times.

HT1 should be needled 1 cun below the original point avoid armpit hair, perpendicular needling for 1.0-1.5 cun. using lifting and inserting and inducing method, until the affected upper limbs twitch for 3 times. As for BL40, patient is supine and raise the leg straightly, perpendicular needling for 0.5-1.0 cun, using lifting and inserting and inducing method until the affected lower limbs twitch for 3 times. As to LU5, bending the elbow for 120°, perpendicular needling for 1.0 cun, using lifting and inserting and inducing method until the affected lower limbs twitch for 3 times. Regarding LI4, inserting the needle to Sanjian (LI3) Shu-Stream Point direction for 1.0-1.5 cun, using lifting and inserting and inducing method until the affected side fingers twitch for 3 times or the five fingers in the can extend.
