1) Sitz Bath
A sitz bath is taken in a sitting position with water covering only the rectal and genital region. Choose a tub that will be comfortable for you to sit in and can hold enough water for you to submerge your bottom. Add half a cup of apple cider vinegar to the water and soak for about 20 minutes.
Vaginal burning due to BV and chemical irritants in douches are caused by a disruption in the vagina environ. The normally acidic nature of the vagina becomes more alkaline. Soaking in the apple cider vinegar water helps to restore the vaginal pH to its optimum level of 4.5 to 5.
2) Cool Bath
If you have deduced that the cause of your vagina burning is due to non-infectious viginitis, then soaking in a cool bath with either baking soda or Epsom salt added will solve the problem. Non-infectious viginitis are vaginal irritation due to scented soaps, fragrant feminine wash and douches and allergic reactions to chlorine in swimming pools and semen.
Add half a cup (or more, depends on how much water you are filling the tub with) of either baking soda or Epsom salt to the long bath. Relax and soak in the bath tub for at least 15 to 20 minutes, after which you flush the vagina with water to further remove the remaining irritants.

3) Ice Packs
For this home remedy you need to put some ice cubes in a small zip lot bag and dab it on the vulva for 10 to 15 minutes. It works well for burning caused by chemical irritants.
4) Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Oil)
The strong anti bacterial properties of tea tree oil is suitable for burning caused by bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection and trichomoniasis. Take note that tea tree oil is to be used Externally only. Use it as an external rinse for the genital region - a few drops to a cup of water. Or you can use it as a suppository. Saturate a clean tampon in a mixture that contains a few drops of tea tree oil with 2 teaspoon of vitamin E oil in a cup of water and insert into the vagina.
5) Tips For Preventing Vagina Burning
It is better not to use scented pads and toilet paper, feminine sprays and talcum powder in your intimate area.
Avoid using soaps to cleanse the vulva. They are harsh, causing irritation.
Your intimate area needs a pH balanced cleanser or probiotic wash which protects against harmful bacteria and fungi.
Avoid douching as it disrupts the vaginal flora.
Avoid hot tubs, swimming pools and bubble baths as these facilities may contain chemical irritants.
Always wipe from front to back after bowel movement.
Wear cotton panties so that the genital area can breathe and change it daily.
Stay away from thong underwear as the strings cause more chaffing to the already sore vagina.
