1) Ginger Root Tea and Honey
Taking ginger root and honey after a meal is a home remedy for heartburn. You can either grate fresh ginger or take a powdered form of ginger root. They sell ginger root capsules in the vitamin section of health food stores and most grocery stores. Ginger root is also very helpful for treating an upset stomach.
2) Healthy Diet
Years of living and dealing with the pain and suffering of heartburn lead me to search for remedies that not only help to relieve the symptoms but also help to cure that reason that heartburn exists in the first place. Through the trial and error of using commercial medicines and prescription drugs I decided to turn to a more natural approach to healing, and much to my delight I have healed my heartburn, lost weight and have become a healthier person altogether. I have found that through eating a plant based whole foods diet my heartburn and other health challenges I had been experiencing disappeared. I used to eat fast food, fried foods, highly processed foods and a lot of cheese and meats. All of those foods contribute to heartburn and also weight gain, high blood pressure and many other health problems and diseases.
Brown Sugar
3) Baking Soda
I occasionally get heartburn and have found the best home remedy to cure it naturally. I take a tsp of baking soda and mix it with powdered ginger in a small glass of water and drink slowly.
4) Mint Tea
Mint has been used for ages as a natural home remedy for heartburn. I make peppermint herbal tea and sip on it to help relieve my heartburn symptoms.
5) Laying on Left Side
I lay on my left side when I suffer from heartburn. This works because laying on your left side reduces the acid traveling back up through your esophageal valve thus reducing heartburn.
6) Brown Sugar
I have used this remedy for my heart burn and it really works. I ate a teaspoon of brown sugar. Completely took away my heartburn.
7) Aloe Vera Juice
I suggest drinking aloe vera juice. It is available at health food stores. I also have another remedy and that is to drink papaya juice. I also sometimes drink peppermint tea as a natural way to relieve my heartburn in the evening.
