One teaspoon of apple cider vinegar really works well. Mix the cider vinegar in a small amount of water or it will burn going down. Take this a couple of times a day.

Diet is the ultimate cause of acid reflux. Rich western diet is to blame. Most cases of acid reflux can be totally eliminated by stopping eating all dairy products including butter, cheese and yogurt. If that is not enough then stop eating meat as well.
