1) Asparagus
I’m going to share with you a natural remedy for kidney stones from an old farmer I know.  I have tried this and it has worked for me several times.  Take one pound of raw asparagus and eat it while you drink about a six pack of coke.  The kidney stones I had dissolved and came out within hours as tiny little granules in my urine.  The farmer told me that you may need to repeat this process if the kidney stones were really bad.  Fortunately, I only had to do this natural remedy once to be rid of my kidney stones.

2) Less Protein
A good place to start when considering a natural home remedy for kidney stones can begin with changing your diet to a healthy one.  Healthy in this case means that people should switch from eating animal food/protein and eat plant based protein instead.  Two things are common regarding kidney stones and diet.  One is too much protein, and the other is the type of protein people ingest. When people include too much protein in their diet; they can encounter many health problems.  One of them includes the acquisition of kidney stones.  Protein is needed in your diet and serves the function of providing raw material for building tissues; however, it is overemphasized most of the time.  A little protein is good; but, a lot is not as good for you.  The western diet is overburdened with protein and protein overload.  This is despite the fact that scientists have been aware of the harmful effects of too much protein for over a century.  The common medical protocol for most all kidney diseases is to put the patient on a low protein diet.

When the body gets too much protein the body tries to get rid of the excess of waste protein by the blood flow through the kidneys.  When this happens; the body loses calcium and the kidneys try to compensate and restore some of the filtered calcium back into the body.  There is a problem however as the animal protein that is ingested will inhibit the body/kidneys ability to save calcium.  This inhibition takes place because of the sulfur-containing amino acids and acid that is in the animal protein/food.  As this filtration through the kidneys takes place; lost calcium present in the kidneys can develop into kidney stones.  It’s been found that over 90% of people having kidney stones also had a high protein diet.  It’s wise to be aware that plant proteins do not cause the calcium and bone loss effects that animal protein does in "normal living situations".

3) Grapefruit Juice
After spending nearly two years suffering from kidney stones and always going to the doctor; I discovered my own home remedy for treating kidney stones.  I began drinking about eight ounces of unsweetened grapefruit juice each day for a week.  This turned out to be a great natural cure for my kidney stones.  My father also had success drinking lemonade when he had problems with kidney stones.

4) Vitamin B6
I have had kidney stone problems for the past twenty years and have gone to the hospital on four different occasions.  After I read a nutrition book; I found out about taking B-6 and a calcium/magnesium tablet each day.  I discovered that this could serve as a natural cure for my kidney stones.  Three of the B-6’s and one calcium/magnesium was the recommended dose.  Also, it was suggested to drink juice from at least one lemon a day.  Things are not perfect; I am still prone to getting very small stones if I miss a couple of days.  As long as I continue this approach; I have no problems.
