Pyorrhoea is an advanced form of gingivitis and the symptoms can be very similar. Pyorrhoea is the world’s second most common dental problem following simple tooth decay and gingivitis. Gingivitis is a mild and common form of gum disease that if left untreated or ignored can become the more severe pyorrhoea. Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums. Because the condition can be so mild, an individual may not realize they have a problem. The cursory signs of gingivitis is swelling and bleeding of the gums.
Pomegranate Rind
The most common reason for gingivitis is poor oral hygiene so it is important to establish daily oral hygiene routine and periodical checkups with a dentist. Gingivitis is the only one of the seven periodontal diseases that can be reversed or eliminated. The other six categories are considered destructive and permanent. Home remedies for pyorrhoea are listed below:
1) Treatment of Pyorrhoea with Onion:
Keep a piece of onion and onion seed(kalonji) in the mouth below the teeth for sometime till the saliva starts dripping from the mouth. It is a ideal treatment for pyorrhoea.
2) Cure Pyorrhoea with Alum and Pomegranate Rind:
Take 500gm dried rind of pomegranate, 10gm alum(phitkari), 10gm black pepper and 10gm epsom salt(sinda namak). Grind all the above ingredients in fine powder. Sieve it. Clean your teeth twice a day with this powder to cure pyorrhoea.
3) Pyorrhoea Remedy with Spinach and Carrot:
This is one of the most effective remedy to cure pyorrhoea. Mix the juice of spinach and carrot in equal quantities. Drink this juice everyday.
4) Cure Gum Bleeding with Guava:
Chewing the tender leaves of the guava tree helps to keep the teeth healthy and stops gum bleeding. Chewing unripe guava is also an excellent tonic for the teeth.
5) Get Stronger Teeth with Turnip(shalgam):
Chewing turnip with slow mastication makes the teeth strong and healthy.
