Horn cup
Horn cupping horn cup is one of the most ancient cupping therapy tools, mostly made of horns.
Advantages: it is convenient to make, easily-operated and it has strong absorption.
Disadvantages: it is difficult to be disinfected, opaque and difficult to observe the situation in the cup.
Bamboo cup
The cup is made of bamboos.
Advantages: it is easy to make, cheep, compact and difficult to break.
Disadvantages: it is easy to crack when dried and leak air with small suction.
Pottery cup
Pottery cup is made from clay with strong suction. But it is frangible, and too heavy to be carried.
Copper and iron cup
The cup is made of copper or iron with strong suction and hard to break. However, it transmits heat very fast, and easy to burn the skin, so it is used less currently.
Glass cup

The vacuum pumping cups use the resin as material, which is transparent, light-weighted and can adjust the negative pressure in the cup though their valve size. Its warmness can not be felt so it can not be used in some methods such as the moving cupping and others.
Electric cup
Negative pressure and temperature will be controlled through the electricity.
Advantages: it is safe and not easily-burned and the patient will feel more comfortable.
Disadvantages: it is inconvenient to carry with its large volume and it costs a lot.
