INGREDIENTS
Dangshen, Radix Codonopsis (Dangshen) 10g
Prepared astragalus root, Radix Astragali (Huangqi) 10g
Chinese cassia tree bark, Cortex Cinnamomi (Rougui) 3g
Prepared rehmannia root, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata (Shudihuang) 15g
Parched bighead atractylodes thizome, Rhizoma Atractylodis (Cangzhu) 10g
Parched chuanxiong thizome, Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong) 6g
Chinese angelica root, Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui) 15g
Wme-steeped white peony root, Radix Paeoniae Alba (Baishaoyao) 10g
Poria (Fuling) 10g
Prepared liquorice, Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao) 6g
Inkfisb, Sepia 50g
Pork 500g
Pork tripe 50g
Fresh ginger, Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens 30g
Pork bones, green Chinese onion (or scallion), cooking wine,
salt, Chinese prickly ash, gourmet powder just the right amount of each
PROCESS: Put the above medicinal herbs into a clean gauze bag and tie up the opening for later use; have the pork, inkfish and pork tripe washed clean, pork bones washed clean and cracked by pounding, fresh ginger beaten into pieces, and put them together with the medicinal herb bag into an alumirium pan; add just the right amount of water, put in Chinese prickly ash, cooking wine and salt, then, heat the pan over a strong fire until the water has boiled; change to stewing it over a low fire. When the pork is thoroughly done, take it out and cut it into short thin pieces, then place it back into the decoction and remove the medicinal herb bag.
DIRECTIONS: Take it twice in a day, once in the morning and once in the evening; eat the meat and drink the decoction.
EFFICACY: Replenishing both qi and blood.
INDICATIONS: Deficiency of both qi and blood or debility after a protracted illness, manifested as sallow complexion, listlessness, lassitude in the loins and knees, etc.
PRECAUTIONS: Resume taking it five days after the first treatment. Those suffering from common cold of wind-cold type are prohibited to take it.
