Sally Beauty Supply also sells a generic one at half the cost as name brands. Nioxin hair products for dandruff, sebhorreic dermatitis, and thinning hair are another option. The coal tar products have a foul odor, in my opinion. The ones I mentioned are for treatment of the hair as well as the scalp. They help to soothe the itchy scalp, and you have to stop the itching before you can stop the hair thinning/hair loss.

To make your honey water all you do is mix 4 parts honey to 1 part boiled water. The boiled water part is very important. Personally I found that rinsing the honey with boiled water after treatment also works much better than regular tap water. My thinking is that boiling the water changes it alkalinity. Most people online have, however, been using regular tap water to rinse.
