Patients with renal tuberculosis may not suffer from any symptoms. Clinical features may include the following:
-- Presence of protein or pus in the urine on testing
-- Absence of bacteria on testing urine
-- Presence of blood in the urine
-- Failure to respond to antibiotics
-- Reduced kidney function
-- Increased frequency of passing urine, feeling of burning while passing urine.
-- Symptoms of lung tuberculosis may also be present which include fever, night sweats and productive cough

Outlook (Prognosis): What to expect depends on the complications and cause of the disorder. Proper treatment may help prevent further deposits in the kidneys. In most cases, there is no way to remove deposits that have already formed. Many deposits of calcium in the kidneys do NOT always mean severe damage to the kidneys.
