Distribution:
Distributed in southwest China and Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi provinces and other places.

Properties (characteristics):
Bitter, acrid, cold.

Actions & Indications:
For clearing infection, as diuretic. For treatment of swellings, jaundice, red and white dysentery, Gonorrhea, dysuria, stuffy head, throat swelling, ulcer boils, injuries from impact,  bruises, acute jaundice hepatitis, Chronic Nephritis, whooping cough, urinary tract stones, athlete's foot, shingles, Conjunctivitis, Erysipelas.

Dosage:
Oral: for decoction; 9 to 10 g, or smash and make juice.
External Application: smash and apply, or stuff into nostrils, or smash and make juice for ear drop.
