toxic effect: large dosage can inhibit cardiac and nervous system. It has direct toxicity on nerves and muscles. In serious cases it can lead to the exhaustion of liver and kidneys.

Being used in warm diseases with thirst, pink eyes, throat inflammation, jaundice, whopping cough, Asthma, diarrhea, dysentery, Constipation, boils and bunacles.

chenodeoxycholic acid
3α- hydroxy-6- oxo-5α-cholanic acid
lithocholic acid
hyocholic acid
hyodeoxycholic acid
3β, 6α-dihydroxycholanic acid

Dosage:
0.3～0.6g. Put in boiling boiling or as ingredient of pill or as powder.
External use: appropriate amount, mix with water or as powder and apply to affected area.
