You’ve made a bagua map, gotten a compass and have worked hard at bringing the principles of feng shui into your home. Have you considered about bringing those same principles to your vehicle? After all—your vehicle is part of your property, and you do spend a lot of time in it. Think about the things you can do to bring good feng shui to your car.
Keep it Clean and In Good Repair
Just like the first step to bringing feng shui into your home is to clean it up, the same applies to your car. It’s common sense—chaos, disorder, clutter and mess bring disharmony and erratic energies to you. The first move to create good feng shui is to clear away the mess.
Keep a box of small waste paper garbage bags in your glove compartment or under the seat, and use them. Dispose of old coffee cups, tissues and old paperwork you might keep forgetting to bring in and throw it away. Wash and vacuum your car weekly, or bi-weekly.
Likewise, keep it in good repair. Keep up to date on oil changes, tune ups and other regular maintenance routines. If there is a problem, get it checked immediately. This is not only common sense that your mechanic will tell you, but in feng shui when you neglect something you draw negativity and misfortune.
Cleanse It
If you want to absorb negativity in your car, sprinkle salt around on the floor and seats, and leave it there for a few hours before you go to vacuum it up. Sea salt is particularly effective for this purpose.
Another way to cleanse the energies of your car is with herbal sachets of sage. Tuck them under the seats, in the glove compartment or pin them to the visors.
Get a Symbol of Protection
Place a symbol in your car to bring luck and protection to you when you’re out on the road. One great symbol is a mystic knot—you might get this symbol for your key chain, or to hang on your rear view mirror.
Dragons are also powerful symbols. You can display a small dragon figure in your car, such as a stuffed animal in the back window, or you can tuck a small dragon image in a discreet place, such as tucking a small artist trading card with a dragon on it into the CD holder case.
Crystals placed in any compartment or tucked under the floor mats for grounding as a finishing touch.
