Colored Pottery Pot
Neolithic age (Banshan type of Majiayao Culture). H: 26.5 cm, mouth d: 6 cm, bottom d: 10cm. The pot has a flat bottom in diameter, with bilateral ears at the protruding middle part, and a handle in the hind belly. The external rim of its mouth is curved outward. The belly is decorated with triangular curved bands in black and red, separated by a round reticular motif. This is a container for hygienic and daily use. (By courtesy of Guo Pengyun.)
