Eating hot and pungent food can make tongue color red; eating more sweet food may result in thick and slimy tongue fur; taking some drugs may lead to thick and slimy tongue fur. Stained fur can be made by colored food and drugs, for example, drinking milk or soybean milk may produce white and thick tongue fur; eating yolk or orange may bring about yellow fur; and drinking herbs or coffee may cause grey tongue fur.
