The patient is in the sitting position.Standing by the suffered side, the practitioner lifts the shoulder with the flexed elbow that is inserted through the armpit, and holds the patient’s wrist with the other hand to stabilize the upper limb. Then the patient is asked to take a deep breath. At the end of each inhaling period, the practitioner lifts the suffered shoulder up and loosens it immediately. Repeat these movements several times. As the patient is breathing naturally and his muscles are relaxed, the practitioner rapidly lifts the shoulder at the end of inhalation. A restoration sound can be heard.
