[Location] Localized in the supine position, on the anterior median line of the neck, in the depression above the upper border of the hyoid bone. (Fig.77)
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→(including platysma) →between bilateral anterior bellies of digastrics muscles→mylohyoid muscle→geniohyoid muscle→genioglossus muscle. Superficial layer, the distribution of the jugular branch of the facial nerve, the branch of the inferior of the transverse jugular nerve; deep layer, the branches or the subordiantial ramus of the glossal artery and vein, the branch of the hypoglossal nerve, and the nerve of the mylohyoid.
