[Location] Localized in the prone position or in the erect sitting position with the elbows resting on a table, on the occiput, composed by Fanglao (1 cun behind Baihui) and Jiannao (0.5 cun beneath Fengchi).( Fig.79 )
[Regional Anatomy] Fanglao: Skin→subcutaneous tissue→the galea→the loosen tissue below the galea. The distribution of the greater occipital nerve, the branch of the frontal nerve, the anastomoti network formed by the superficial temporal arteries and veins and the occipital arteries and veins on both sides. Jiannao : Skin→subcutaneous tissue→between the m. sternocleidomastoideus and m. trapezius→splenius capitis →semispinal muscle of head →between the musculus rectus capitis posterior major and the obliquus capitis superior. Superficial layer, the distribution of the minor occipital nerve, and the branches or the subordiantial ramus of the occipital artery and vein; deep layer, the lower occipital nerve.
