[Location] Localized in the erect sitting position or prone position. On the nape, in the depression on the lateral border of m. trapezius, within the posterior hairline, 1.3 cun lateral to the midline. (Fig.60)
 
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→the trapezius→medial border of splenius muscle of head →semispinal muscle of head. Superficial layer, the distribution of the medial branch of the posterior branch of the third carotid nerve and the subcutaneous vein; deep layer, the greater occipital nerve.
