My children are always out playing and getting scrapes and bruises. Here is a helpful hint for those of you who have children that don’t like having an ice pack or something really cold put on their bruises. Just take some margarine and spread some over the bruise. It won’t be long before the bruise will disappear and the swelling will have gone down. Whenever my toddler has suffered bruises, I’ve used this approach and it’s really worked well!
If you have just a small or minor bruise, get a hold of an uncooked egg and rub it on the bruise in circular motions. Before I left for work when I was waitressing; I would apply some arnica cream or gel and it worked wonders. It was also good for sore muscles and back pain.
3) Orange Peel for Bruising Home Remedy
I’ll share my home remedy with you concerning bruises. I had an experience where I would be always finding bruises, often on my legs. It didn’t make sense as to why I kept getting them. After going to the doctor, it was determined that I didn’t have diabetes or high blood pressure. There wasn’t anything that was discovered through my blood tests. My doctor then suggested that I take an orange and clean it then eat a small quarter size amount of the skin. He said to only eat this amount and not more. The doctor said that I had a vitamin K deficiency due to stress. It was his suggestion that eating the small amount of orange skin would help with my situation. It actually has worked great! Now whenever I encounter my battles with bruises, I just go buy an orange.
On day I fell off a curb and severely turned my ankle. I thought I might have broken it because it turned so purple and discolored in a short time. I heard about a method of taking a cotton ball and soaking it in some witch hazel and applying this to affected areas. It is supposed to reduce swelling and take away some if not all of the bruising. I tried this approach and I was really surprised. In just a couple of days, the bruising had disappeared!
