Cupping (Suction cup) treatment is effective for Pelvic inflammatory disease

In Chinese medicine, it is closely related to the Penetrating Vessel and Ren Channel, spleen, liver and kidney. The initial stage of the disease is characterized primarily by excess syndrome, mostly excess damp heat causing stagnation which after a long time damages normal qi and leads to kidney deficiency and the mixed syndrome of excess and deficiency.

Location cupped and methods:
Acupoints selected: the prime acupoints of Shenshu, Yaoyan, Yaoyangguan, Baliao (it the total name of upper, secondary, middle and bottom), Guanyuan, Qugu, Qihai, Guilai, Sanyinjiao, Zusanli. For those who are a lot of menses, you should add Xuehai and get it cupped; for those who are dysmenorrheal, you should add Diji; for those who are a lot of leucorrhea, you should add Yinlingquan; for those who suffer from fever with chilliness or low-grade fever, you should add DaZhui and Quchi.

Cupping method:
You should adopt cupping or cupping with warm water to suck above acupoints. Usually, you should retain 8-10 cups on lumbosacral area. For those who suffer from fever, you should use the cupping of venesection on Dazhui or Quchi, and then take the cups off then put 6-8 cups on abdomen and lower limbs, retaining the cups for 10-30 minutes, once day or every other day, ten time as a course of treatment. Otherwisely, you should select 2-4 acupoints, use three-edged needle to prick acupoints, and then move the cup on anther acupoints, retaining them for 10-15 minutes, once or twice a week. Cupping all the above acupoints is a course of treatment and have a break for ten days between two treatments.
