Treating Acute gastroenteritis with Chinese Cupping

In TCM, this disease is mainly due to the invasion of the stomach and the intestine by exopathogenic cold dampness and damp heat, leading to their dysfunction and causing pain.
Location cupped and methods:
Acupoints selected: Dazhui, Pishu (BL20), Weishu (BL21), Sanjiaoshu, Dachangshu (BL25), Tianshu, Zusanli (ST 36), Shangjuxu (ST 37)
Methods:
(1)Cupping: you should adopt cupping to suck cups on the sides of Tianshu for 10 minutes after flash of fire and then cup the acupoints of Dazhui Weishu Dachangshu Sanjiaoshu shangjuxu and shangjuxu. Or else, you could adopt cupping method of air pump.
(2)Cupping of venesection: after the disinfection of the acupoints of Dazhui, Pishu, Weishu Zusanli, Shangsjuxu, you should prick them with three-edged needles for 2-3 times and then apply cupping to the acupuncture point after flash of fire.
