Treating Ulcerative colitis with Chinese Cupping

This disease relegates to the category of hemafecia, hemorrhoidal, hemorrhage or diarrhoea in TCM. Its causes are wet-heat invasion, imbalance on will, weakness of the spleen and stomach and declining of the fire from the gate of life, with the organs involved as the spleen and stomach, large intestine and small bowl and the liver and kidney. The damp abundance due to splenic asthenia and disharmony between Qi and blood are the major pathogenesis.

Location cupped and methods:
Acupoints selected: Dazhui, Pishu (BL20), Weishu (BL21), Dachangshu (BL25), Xiawan, Tianshu, Qihaishu (BL24), Guilai (ST29), Zusanli (ST 36)

Methods:
(1) Cupping: you could adopt cupping to suck cups to the Pishu, Qihai, Tianshu, Guilai, and Zusanli after flash of fire, or you can adopt cupping method of air pump.

(2) Cupping of venesection: after disinfecting the acupoints of Dazhui, Piyu, Weiyu, Dachangyu, Tianshu, Xiawan, Qihai and Zusanli, you should prick into them with three-edged needles and then get the inserted spots cupped.

(3) Moving cupping: after the rulingly disinfection of the Dumai line of the back, the line of the urinary bladder channel of foot-taiyang and the line from the first thoracic vertebra to the sacral vertebra, you should stab them with needles until little bleeding and then move the cup back and forth along with circulatee radial line.
