2. Deficiency of Qi and Blood

3. Retention of Damp-heat in the Interior
Herbal Prescription: Herba Artemisiae Scopariae (Yinchen), Poria (Fuling), Radix Astragali (Huangqi), Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao), grifola, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (Baizhu), Rhizoma Alismatis (Zexie), Fructus Gardeniae (Zhizi), Caulk; Akebiae (Mutong), Spica Prunellae (Xiakucao), Radix Isatidis (Banlangen)

Confirmed by clinical manifestations and laboratory data, the principle of differentiation of symptom complexes with regard to the 35 cases was generalized as Shire-Neiyun Gathering and brewing of dampness and heat in the body), Pishen Yang Xu, Insufficiency of vital function of the Spleen and Kidney), Ganshen Yin Xu, Deficiency of vital essence of the Liver and Kidney) and Qizhi Xue Yu, Stagnation of vital energy and stasis of blood),and prescriptions were given correspondingly. Prednisone and androngens, etc., were also used on the part of WM. A 75% effective rate was obtained among the atients. Clinical remission was found in 16 cases with hemolysis markedly alleviated and hemoglobin rising to 10gm%.  A brief discussion on the principle of treatment with TCM as well as problems relating to diagnosis and relapse was made.
