Chinese Medicine Treatment for Infant Enuresis

Syndrome differentiation and treatment
The therapeutic principle of enuresis should discriminate asthenia from sthenia. For the patients with asthenia, the main therapeutic principle is strengthening body resistance to consolidate constitution. The adopted methods include warming the kidney yang, strengthening the spleen in transportation and transformation, tonifying the lung qi, etc.; for the patients with sthenic heat due to dampness and heat in the liver meridian, the main therapeutic principle lies in clearing away heat and inducing diuresis. Besides drugs for oral administration, other external therapeutic methods may be used to treat the diseases such as acupuncture and moxibustion as well as Chinese massage.
