1) Corn stigma (Stigma Maydis)
It can induce diuresis to alleviate Edema. Decoct in water 30 to 60g of it for oral administration or for drinking instead of tea. It is used to treat ascites due to Cirrhosis.
2) Waxgourd peels (Exocarpium Benincasae)
It has an obvious diuretic function. The common dosage is 15 to 30g. Its indications are the same as those of corn stigma.
3) Red phaseolus bean (Semen Phaseoli)
It functions in inducing diuresis to alleviate edema. The common dosage is 9 to 30g. Its indications are the same as those of corn stigma.
4) Carp (Cyprinus Carpio)
Inducing diuresis to alleviate Edema, it is used as an auxiliary dietetic treatment of ascites due to cirrhosis, far more effective when used coordinately with other herbs inducing diuresis. Crucian carp (Carassius auratus) has similar function.
