Health DescriptionHealth Consultation Description: History: I haven't had sex in 4 years, but my recent pap was normal in 2012 and all std results were negative in 2011. My last partner, we only had oral sex and after his last relationship (before me) he was tested negative for all std's. Currently: I'm currently sexually active with a new partner and during the first session of intercourse, it hurt. I did bleed after. Again and again, I bleed after intercourse...and sometimes the intercourse would hurt when he went deeper into me. I decided to go to Planned Parenthood to be checked out yesterday.
I was informed of a
Cervicitis diagnosis with no Trich and no yeast under the microscope. And I did do a urine test for any std, YET I was always clean and the person before me was clean (and I only did oral with him). Meaning, I ruled out ANY std's creating this diagnosis. While being examined, I was told that rough sex could cause cervicitis or he is hitting my cervix during sex...causing inflammation of the cervix. Questions: If I were to have a bacterial infection, would my partner need to get medicated before intercourse again? Would waiting too long between partners cause the sex to be rough towards my inner vaginal area? I just don't understand how this could happen, but any comments would help me feel better. Thanks!
