Mainly being produced in  Hebei, Henan, Liaoning, Hubei, Jiangxi, Zhejiang provinces of China.
 
Properties (characteristics):
Bitter, cold.

Heart, small intestine, bladder.

Actions & Indications:
Gonorrhea, Edema, urinary tract inflammation, difficulty in urination, Irregular Menstruation, Amenorrhea, dystocia, Carbuncle

Dosage:
6 to 12 g. Large dosage can be up to 24 g.
 
Cautions:
Not to use in case ofpixu (spleen deficient) orshenxu (kidney deficient) or during pregnancy. In early stages of pregnancy it can induce an abortion.
