Applications of hand therapy:
Acupuncture therapy:
At regular and extra acupoints:
Location: Quchi (LI 11), Neiguan (PC6), Houxi (SI 3) and Hegu (LI 4) acupoints.
Method of manipulation: Moxibustion with moxa roll can be applied at above acupoints.
At special acupoints beside the second metacarpal bone:
Location: Upper limb, leg, spleen, and kidney acupoints.
Method of manipulation: The needles are inserted for 1.6 cm and a short piece of moxa roll is attached to the handle of needle for application of moxibustion; the gentle moxibustion or pecking moxibustion with moxa roll is applied at above special acupoints.
