1. Herbal Therapy
Internal Medicine:
(1) Syndrome of Deficiency of Liver and Kidney Yin: Therapeutic Method  Nourishing the liver and kidney to improve eyesight. Prescription: The modified Qiju Dihuangwan or Yougui Pill Decoction.
(2) Syndrome of Spleen Asthenia and Qi Deficiency: Therapeutic Methods: Invigorating spleen and replenishing qi. Prescription: The modified Buzhong Yiqi Decoction.
(3) Syndrome of Ocular Invasion by Liver Heat: Therapeutic Methods  Removing heat and calming liver. Recipe  The modified Shijuemingsan Decoction.
(4) Syndrome of Yin Deficiency with Damp-heat:Therapeutic Methods: Nourishing yin to removing heat and relieving epigastric distension to dispel pathogenic damp. Prescription: The modified Ganluyin Decoction.

External medicine
Eye Drops 
1). Shezhu Mingmu Eye Drops: The eye is dropped with the liquid three times a day.
2). Zhangyi (Cataract) Powder: The eye is dropped with the agent three times a day.
3). Zhenzhu Mingmu Eye Drops: The eye is dropped with the liquid three times a day.
4). Xiaomeng (Dim-removing) Eye Ointment. Theeye is dropped with the ointment twice every day.

2. Surgical Treatment 
If the cataract is mature, the pupil is normal and light location and color sense in a good condition, the surgical treatment by using metal needle to pluck the cataract should be considered, especially for those patients with senile debility. Cataract-plucking Operation with Metal Needle, The method of plucking cataract by using metal needle, an ocular operation in which the opaque lens is removed into the vitreous body so that the vision is recovered again, is applicable to the mature senile cataract or cataract that is almost mature.

3. Acupoints Massage
1) Knead and press Chengqi (ST 1) and Sibai (ST2):
Press bilateral Chengqi (ST 1) by both forefinger and press bilateral Sibai (ST2) by middle fingers (put forefingers and middle fingers together to press with heavy force) for 50 times rotatablely.

Location of Chengqi (ST 1):
This acupoint is located on the face, directly below the pupil, between the eyeball and the infraorbital ridge when the eyes look straight forward .
Location of Sibai (ST2): This acupoint is located on the face, directly below the pupil and in the depression at the infraorbital foramen when the eyes look straight forward 

2) Pinch and knead Jingming (BL 1):
Close eyes, press bilateral Jingming (BL 1) by right thumb and forefinger for 50 times, then drop eyes drops for cataract, then pinch bilateral Jingming (BL 1) by left thumb and forefinger for 50 times, rub eyebrow by eight fingerprints surface for 50 times, rub Shuigou (GV26) by fingerprints surface of both middle fingers for 50 times.
Location of Jingming (BL 1): This acupoint is located in the depression slightly superior to the inner canthus.

3) Knead and press Tongziliao (GB 1)">Tongziliao (GB 1), Sizhukong (TE23), Taiyang (EX- HN 5):
Press bilateral Tongziliao (GB 1)">Tongziliao (GB 1) by both middle fingers, bilateral Sizhukong (TE23) by both ring fingers and bilateral Taiyang (EX- HN 5) by both forefingers (put forefingers, bent middle fingers and ring fingers together to press forward with heavy force for 50 times and backward for 50 times rotatablely).
Location of Tongziliao (GB 1)">Tongziliao (GB 1): This acupoint is located lateral to the outer canthus and at the lateral side of the orbit.
Location of Sizhukong (TE23): The acupoint is located in the depression at the lateral end of the eyebrow.

4) Rub eyes horizontally by both palms:
Open middle part of eyes (Yintang (EX-HN3)), rub it slowly by both hands, cover the face perpendicularly with both palm, press bilateral Shuigou (GV26) by both ring fingers with palms press to orbits forcibly, press with heavy force to the nervous acupoints around the eyes from hair line to the lower jaw for 30 times. It can promote blood circulation around the eyeballs, dreg the channels to ensure tear duct smooth. 

5) Rub face perpendicularly by both palms:
Close eyes, rub face perpendicularly by both palms, press bilateral Shuigou (GV26) by both ring fingers, put force to both orbits with two palms, press with heavy force to the nervous acupoints around the eyes from hair line to the lower jaw for 30 times. It can promote blood circulation around the eyeballs, dreg the channels to ensure tear duct smooth.

4. Guasha Therapy
1) Acupoints selected: Jingming (BL 1), Cuanzhu (BL 2), Yuyao (EX-HN4), Fengchi (GB20), Ganshu (BL 18), Shenshu (BL23), Zusanli (ST 36).
2) Manipulation: Apply some Guasha oil to the affected parts, hold the Guasha board to keep 45 degrees with the skin, and scrape acupoints on the face and head with gentle force and heavy force for the lower limbs until a local red speckle occurs. 

5. Cupping Therapy
Acupoints selected: Yuyao (EX-HN4), Fengchi (GB20), Ganshu (BL18), Shenshu (BL23), Zusanli (ST36).
Manipulation: Apply simple cupping manipulation to the above acupoints for 10-15 minutes, once a day, 10 times as a course of treatment.

6. Foot Massage
Basic reflection areas: adrenal gland, heart, spleen.
Related reflection areas: liver, eyes.
Symptom reflection areas: trigeminus.
Reflexotherapy is taken up of 10-15 times as a course of treatment, 30-40 times each time, 1-2 times each day, repeat it after 1-2 days. Soak both feet with light salt water to recover the feet sensitive to massage.
