Overview
Infantile cerebral palsy is a common kind of pediatric disease defined as limbs motor disturbance, lower intelligence capacity, frequent convulsion, disturbance of perception. It belongs to five hypoevolutism, five wilting in TCM. Inherent deficiency and depletion of the liver and kidney, poor development of heart and brain, lead to essence and blood cannot nourish bones and muscles, four limbs, and the mind disturbed. Or suffered pathogenic factors when fetus, and dystocia, birth trauma, not nursing one's health after serve disease and lingering illness, suffered pathogenic heat and epidemic toxins which falls in the channels of Jueyin, lead to wind-phlegm and blood stasis block in channels and collaterals, damage qi and blood, tendon and vessel damaged. Therapeutic principle is nourishing liver and kidney, activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis, opening the orifices and rousing brain.

Treatment
1. Sishencong (EX-HN 1)
Acupuncture therapy. Let the patient lay on the back, with routine sterilization, needle quickly into the skin with 1 cun 30 gauge filiform needle (the needle tip and the epicranium makes a included angle of 30). When the needle tip reach to aponeurosis of occipitofron talis muscle, acupuncturist may feel the force of resistance diminishes, then needle with twirling and rotating methods into 0.5 cun, Intermittently rotate the needle and retain the needle for 30 minutes. Treatment is done once every day and 10 times makes up a course of therapy. Take a rest for 3-5 days before the next therapy course.

2. Three needles for intelligence
Needle the Shenting point (DU24, 0.5 curt directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline) as the first needle, then needle Benshen point (GBI3. at the junction of the lateral 1/3 and medial 2/3 of the distance between Shenting and Touwei ST8, all are 0.5 cun above the anterior hairline ) bilaterally as the second and third needle. With routine sterilization, needle 1 cun horizontally downward with 1.5 cun 30 gauge filiform needle. After obtaining the qi, retain the needles 30 minutes and rotate the needles once every l0 minutes. Treatment is done once every day and 4 months makes up a course of therapy.

3. Three needles on temple
Needle the point 2 cun directly above ear apex as the first point. Then needle the point 1 cun anterior to the first needle point as the second needle point, needle the point 1 cun posterior to the first needle point as the third needle point. All three points are on the same level. With routine sterilization, needle quickly into the skin with 1 cun 30 gauge filiform needles (the needle tip and the epicranium make a included angle of 30). Acupuncture depth is 3/4 length of needle body. Rotate the needle to let the numbness and distension needle sensation of radiate to whole head. Manipulate these three needles in the same way. Retain the needles 30 minutes and rotate the needles once every 10 minutes. Treatment is done once every day and 4 months makes up a course of therapy.

Note
Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy to infantile cerebral palsy has some effect to treat mild case, and can improve symptoms. Carefully avoid damage brain tissue when acupuncture. Patiently nurse, improve intelligence training and functional training.
