[Location] Localized in supine position or the erect sitting position. On the medial aspect of the thigh, 6 cun above SP10 (Xuehai) on the line connecting SP10 (Xuehai) and SP12 (Chongmen). ( Fig.32 )
 
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→medial vastus muscle of thigh. Superficial layer, the prior cutaneous branch of the femoral nerve, the subordiantial ramus of the greater saphenous vein; deep layer, the muscular branches of the femoral artery and vein, the saphenous nerve, and the muscular branches of the femoral nerve.
