Points: Main point: Jianjing (GB 21). Supplementary points: Dazhui
(Ren 14), Zhongwan (Ren 12) and Zusanli (ST 36).
Technique: Only both sides of points Jianjing (GB 21) are used for neurological vomiting, post-operative vomiting, allergic vomiting, and vomiting due to stomach cancer and pregnancy. Zhongwan (Ren 12) is added for gastritis and ulcerative vomiting; Zusanli (ST 36) for vomiting due to indigestion; and Dazhui (Ren 14) for vomiting due to encephalitis B. Only moxibustion is used for morning sickness or for a baby under one year old. But for other cases, needling is applied first and moxa later. The treatment is given once or twice a day. If there is no effect after four or six treatments, other methods may be adopted.
