1. Regulating the emotions
Those with visual disabilities are susceptible to negative emotions like tension, impetuosity, depression and pessimism.  It is advisable to adopt the methods of straightening them out, checking one emotion with another and suggestion therapy so as to remove bad emotional reactions. They may also use the recreational methods like music, singing and drama to make themselves cheerful. This can stabilize their emotions and improve their life quality.

2. Training the body
Daoyin: Close the eyes and aim at the eyes with the palms in turn. Namely, the right palm aims at the right eye first. Then, imagine that a bright light is penetrating into the eyeball from the palm center. The left hand repeats the same movements. Do the daoyin with the alternating hands for 7 to 8 minutes, but no more than 10 minutes in general. Afterwards, "wipe the eyes with the fingers" . If there exist mild nsations like soreness, numbness and itching in the eyes, these are normal reactions.

Practice eight-section brocade or Taijiquan everyday. Generally, the simplified Taijiquan is advisable. People with better physical strength may select the forty-eight-section Taijiquan or Yang's Taijiquan.
