1) Garlic
A great natural treatment for a fungal infection is to mash garlic manually, or to try liquefying it in a blender. Once the garlic has formed a paste, apply the garlic to the area that is affected with fungus. A good way to apply the garlic is with a cotton swab or cotton ball. While you can ingest garlic and include a large amount of it in your diet, you will heal a fungal infection much more quickly if it is applied topically. Try this method about three times daily and continue to repeat until the fungus is gone.
2) Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is very effective when used to treat fungal infections. Apply the tea tree oil directly to the skin. If you have sensitive skin, then be sure to dilute it with a few drops of vegetable oil. Apply the tea tree oil the affected area three times daily to see maximum results. This is one of the very best natural remedies for a fungal infection.
Garlic
Chamomile is an herbal remedy that works well when used both internally and externally. Chamomile is wonderful in that it has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can be excellent natural treatments for fungal infections. To take chamomile internally, simply drink chamomile tea about once a day. Once the tea is finished steeping, use the tea bags to apply chamomile directly to the area. You can use chamomile as a very effective natural treatment for vaginal yeast infections. Chamomile can also be used in a sitz bath.
3) Black Walnut
You can purchase a tincture (an alcoholic extract or solution) from your local health store. For fungal infections, look for ones containing black walnut. You can probably find other tinctures in the store that are labeled specifically for anti-fungal treatments. These will likely contain tea tree oil, valerian and lavender. Apply the solutions as directed.
4) Tea Tree Lavender Oils for Fungal Infection Natural Remedy
A great combination of oils for fungal infections is equal parts tea tree oil mixed with lavender oil. To treat a nail that has been infected with fungus, simply mix equal parts of each oil together and apply to the nail using a cotton swab or cotton ball. Just dab the mixture on the outside of the nail, and be sure to fully cover the affected area. Lavender oil has anti-fungal properties and helps to prevent skin irritation. It also has antiseptic properties. Tea tree oil is a well-known natural cure for treating fungus, as it is a natural antibiotic and anti-fungal treatment. The combination of these two oils is extremely effective at treating fungal infections, as they are used to treat onchomycosis (fungal infection of the nail) and paronychia (fungal infection of the skin surrounding the nail).
The combination of these two oils can be used to treat severe cases of fungal infections, as they are very potent. Because of the potency of these oils, be sure to dilute them with olive or vegetable oil before applying directly to the skin. These oils can cause severe skin irritation, and should only be used when diluted with a carrier oil. Simply mix equal parts lavender oil, tea tree oil and the carrier oil of your choice (olive oil will likely work best) and apply to affected nails with a cotton swab or ball before bedtime. To help expedite the healing process, you can even try wearing cotton or wool socks if the affected areas are toe nails, or gloves if the affected nails are fingernails. This can help speed the healing because the heat from the body will increase the effectiveness of the oils. Be sure to use this treatment daily until the fungus is completely gone. Be sure to be diligent with your treatment, otherwise the fungus will continue to spread and will only worsen.
